General

Last modified December 16, 2020

MetaboHUB and the PeakForest project promotes open science through its mission to provide freely available online services, database and software relating to data contributed from life science experiments to the largest possible community. Where we present scientific data generated by others we impose no additional restriction on the use of the contributed data than those provided by the data owner.

MetaboHUB and the PeakForest project expect attribution (e.g. in publications, services or products) for any of its online services, databases or software in accordance with good scientific practice. The expected attribution will be indicated on the appropriate web page.

Any feedback provided to PeakForest project on its online services will be treated as non-confidential unless the individual or organisation providing the feedback states otherwise.

MetaboHUB and the PeakForest project are not liable to you or third parties claiming through you, for any loss or damage.

While we will retain our commitment to OpenScience, we reserve the right to update these Terms of Use at any time. When alterations are inevitable, we will attempt to give reasonable notice of any changes by placing a notice on our website, but you may wish to check each time you use the website. The date of the most recent revision will appear on this, the ‘MetaboHUB PeakForest services Terms of Use’ page. If you do not agree to these changes, please do not continue to use our online services. We will also make available an archived copy of the previous Terms of Use for comparison.

Any questions or comments concerning these Terms of Use can be addressed to: contact [AT] peakforest [DOT] org

PeakForest Web Services (REST API)

All PeakForest REST requests should be made to URLs beginning with the following string:

https://MY-INSTANCE.peakforest.org/rest/v2/

These URLs direct requests to servers that are optimized to give users the best performance.

In order not to overload the PeakForest server, we recommend that users post no more than three URL requests per second and limit large jobs to either weekends or between 9:00 PM and 5:00 AM Central European Standard Time during weekdays.

Failure to comply with this policy may result in an IP address being blocked from accessing PeakForest. If PeakForest blocks an IP address, service will not be restored unless the developers of the software accessing the PeakForest REST API contact the support.

Developers can ask a personnal or a service account on each PeakForest instances and generate their own API key asked by PeakForest Webservices authentication processes.

REST Api complete documentation is available on each PeakForest instances with the folowing URL:

https://MY-INSTANCE.peakforest.org/doc-v2/
